An early era “NeRPeR,” Jessica serves as Senior Editor for NRPR Group. Reporting to the CEO, she reviews and revises all external-facing communications and documents, while helping the team enhance their strategic storytelling skills, abstract thinking, business acumen and writing prowess through individualized coaching and group skills labs. She is a master storyteller and seasoned business/brand strategist with a decade of experience supporting the narratives and nuances of brands and businesses across the world.
With a core emphasis on increasing social impact, enhancing representation and elevating cultures through her work, Jessica is passionate about supporting and partnering with brands and thought leaders who are positively disrupting industries and societies at large. She is a relentless researcher, learner and analyst who measures herself, ultimately, on the impact she leaves behind in the work that she does.
A lifelong student of literature, journalism and philosophy, she regularly writes for/is published by several international publications and has ghostwritten two books in under six months’ time. She is a dedicated human rights advocate who partners closely with frontline leaders, legislators and law enforcement to protect and empower the most vulnerable among us. She is an alumna of the University of California, Santa Barbara and has been formally educated in America, Italy and France.
Jerry Knaak is Senior Copywriter at NRPR. He is a ten-year U.S. Navy veteran and has been writing professionally in one form or another for the better part of 30 years. He works hand-in-hand with our CEO to ensure all press releases, narrative writing, Q&As, FAQs, and more are thoughtfully crafted for our clients.
A native of Rochester, N.Y., he worked in professional football with the Oakland Raiders for 20+ years, producing thousands of articles for online publication during his career, leading website copy strategy, copy for the Raiders’ Gameday Magazine, and more. Jerry has worked as a print journalist, a broadcast journalist, a disc jockey, a digital media director, a historian, and public relations professional. He has written three published novels.
Jerry enjoys reading, watching movies and good serial television, and exercise. He is also an avid blogger and previously hosted the Get the Knaak podcast.
