Having worked many angles of the entertainment industry in LA, I may have initially stereotyped the entire field of public relations as yet another shallow and soulless representation of its celebrity clients, prioritizing that green over that social good. Well, yes that side of PR does still exist, but when I was first serendipitously introduced to Nicole, I knew she was onto something new and progressive. NRPR Group is offering its clients and work culture a clean slate and reintroduction to quality public relations work. As a PR rookie, NRPR Group has taught me one of the keys to any successful business transcends industries and trends and is ultimately that unique flame behind every move, both professionally and personally.

That key is hustle. Let me expand:

H – Hurry up, don’t take too long. Quality over quantity is key yes. But perfection is a myth. Don’t sit on ideas. Take them out of your head and make them real. Write, offer progress updates, put your best foot forward, and submit. “Vision without action is daydream. Action without vision is nightmare.” – Japanese Proverb

U – Utilize resources wisely. You may not have all the answers or hold all the power to make the moves you are looking for, but someone or a combination of people likely do. Don’t be afraid to ask for help and always remember that “where there’s a will, there’s a way.”

S – Selling is an inevitable part of life, no matter what industry you find yourself in. Master the art of selling authentically. If you’re not selling a client at the end of the day, you’re selling yourself and personal brand.

T – Talk is cheap. Talent is rare. But when that beautiful moment happens when the two unite, you are in PR heaven. Aim for quality clients you believe in. People can see an authentic sell from a mile away.

L – Listen and Learn. There will never come a day when you have become successful and wise enough to no longer need the key skills of listening and learning from others. There is always a lesson to be learned and a relationship to be formed. Slowing down the hustle and letting others speak their mind allows for ideas to develop and relationships to strengthen.

E – Earn your reputation. Earn the media. At the end of the day, hard work and quality clients will be the talk of the industry. “Genius is 1% talent and 99% percent hard work…” – Albert Einstein
