IMG_1108

Another month, another installment of our “Meet the NRPR #DREAMTEAM” series on the blog! Today, we’re introducing you to Jen Rogers, our awesome Public Relations and Marcom Account Director here at NRPR Group! We’re very lucky to have Jen on our team and we can’t wait for you to get to know her better:

Name: Jen Rogers

Position: Account Director

Date Drafted: July 2017

College: Muhlenberg College – GO MULES!

Hometown: A tiny town you’ve never heard of in Northern New Jersey called Haworth.

How do you take your coffee?
Decaf, light with vanilla almond milk.

What are three words you’d use to describe yourself?
Outgoing and passionate, yet laid back.  I also just asked my Dad and he said feisty and stubborn.  So there ya go!

What song fires you up?
It’s a tie: Sabotage by Beastie Boys and Everlong by Foo Fighters.

What’s your favorite part about working at NRPR Group?
Another tie. It’s both the amazing teamwork and support, and the organization and systems that Nicole has set up.  All of it flows so well together to make up this powerhouse team that I love to work with.

Tell us one of your proudest moments on the job:
Getting a top tier booking is always rewarding, but I’ve been most proud to see my team rocking our client announcements and getting press secured.

When you’re not working on earning coverage for your clients or learning the ropes at NRPR Group, what can we find you doing?
I love to workout – I play competitive volleyball, practice yoga and train at Orange Theory.  I also like to run outside or go to the gym with friends.  Though most of my time outside of work is spent with my husband and 5 year old daughter.   We go for hikes, swim, play sports, read, and watch basically any sport on TV — preferably  football.  J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets!

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone hoping to start a career in PR?
MASTER THE BASICS.  Know how to develop a targeted press list, master how to build a briefing sheet and itinerary.  Pay attention to ALL the tiny details and make them part of your routine for every announcement and booking.   The building blocks you learn when you are starting off are going to be what sets you apart from the pack when it’s time for a promotion.

Isn’t Jen awesome? We are truly lucky to have her on our team. Have any questions for Jen? Follow her on Twitter @PRvixen or leave us a comment below. Stay up-to-date with the latest and greatest news from NRPR Group by signing up for our bi-monthly newsletter, HUSTLE WITH A CONSCIENCE!
