Why It’s Important to Celebrate Victories as a Team

You work hard day in and day out, but it’s why you chose this job. You love the feeling of putting in the hours, being a hustler, and getting the job done. When you finally reach your goals, whether that’s landing a top tier hit for your client or making friends with one of your favorite reporters, what comes next? Well, besides setting your sights on your next goal, we say it’s to celebrate! We’re all about momentum and not missing a beat when it comes to leveling up, but you better believe that we never pass up an opportunity to celebrate our team’s wins, big or small.

Why? Simple answer: because we’ve earned it. And you have, too! We cannot stress enough how important it is to celebrate your victories as a team. From boosting morale to promoting a great company culture, the perks are endless and it’s sure to bring your team even closer together. Keep reading for some of our top reasons why it pays to celebrate as a team:

1. It boosts morale and gives positive reinforcement: There’s no better way to make your team feel special than by celebrating them and their victories. One thing our coach, Nicole, always tells us is that the trophies we earn are OURS and we should be proud of them! Having that positive reinforcement helps us focus on reaching our goals, because it makes it that much sweeter when we do. And also, there’s no better way to pick up a tough week than with a little celebration here and there to help you feel good.

2. It promotes us rooting for one another: At NRPR Group, we are a team. No one succeeds on their own, and we all make mistakes, learn and get better together. With that said, you better believe that we are one encouraging, motivating bunch when it comes to cheering each other on. A personal or team victory means that, in one way or another, we’re all taking one more step toward being the best PR pros we can be. And you know what they say… the team that roots for one another stays together!

3. It rewards hard work: Plain and simple, having a leader and a team who want to celebrate your accomplishments really makes you feel great when you get what you’ve been working toward. We’re not saying every little thing needs to be marked with a gold star, but if you’ve really been putting in the hours and deliver, we think you should be recognized for it. And, we mean… any excuse for an after work happy hour or mid-day cupcakes, right?!

4. It creates great company culture: Last but not least, when you have a team that works toward their goals together and celebrates their accomplishments, you are going to end up with a tight knit team who’s always there for one another and has each other’s backs when it’s needed. Team NRPR knows how to get the job done, but we also genuinely enjoy each other’s company and often hang out outside of work, text on the weekends, and care about each other’s lives! This close bond comes from investment in each other’s personal and professional growth, which contributes back to an amazing company culture.

There are a million reasons why celebrating victories as a team is beneficial for your employees and company as a whole… but hey, you know what? It’s just plain fun! It brings us together and motivates us to constantly reach our goals. Enough from us — we want to know what you think! Do you celebrate your victories with your team? How so?
